I like that this is made of sturdy metal. Setup is fast and pretty straight forward. Whatever tools you need to set it up is included in the package. My only complaint, and it's a big one hence, the measly two stars, is that it is way too small. I ordered a queen size, and I think they have it sized to be the same size as the mattress instead of the bed frame. You then end up with slats that are way too short on all four sides of the bed. My mattress is even wider and longer than this. I feel like the queen size they sent us is better suited for a full bed frame. I have included a picture to show this, but I have looked at the other low star reviews, and they have had the exact same complaints. ... show more

I'm soooooooo disappointed it's way to small for my bed and it will not fit in my car for me to return it. I did read all of the negative reviews about the board being too small for Queen size beds but I wanted to take a Chance. So now I'm stuck with a frame that is too small and no where to sleep until I figure out this problem. ... show more

The Zinus bunkyboard is hands down one of the best purchases I've made this year. My nice expensive bedframe started squeaking horribly after it was only a year old. I narrowed it down to the wood slats, but the thought of having to go get new slats, take the frame apart and reassemble, and then hope that the new wood holds up made me put it off and deal with the squeeking/creaking every time I or my wife moved for months. When I finally decided to deal with it, I came across the bunkyboard (I had never heard of it before) and decided to give it a shot because it was so cheap. Assembly took maybe 15 minutes and the instructions, hardware, etc are all surprisingly great quality. I decided to lay the bunkyboard directly on top of my squeaky bed slats, and then put the mattress on top. Low-and-behold, no more noise! I can literally jump on the bed now and it's silent. As an added bonus, the adhesive strips on the top hold my mattress in place so it doesn't slide around anymore. EXTRA TIP: I bought the "TRU Lite Bedding Non-Slip Mattress Pad" and put it between the wood slats and the bunkyboard so that the metal was not touching the wood, this stopped it from sliding or making any noise when moving around. ... show more

Old review: easy to assemble, just 4 screws. made of metal will not warp or break like wood. Update: ** lower from 5 stars to 2 stars ** I bought 2x twin Bunkie boards and 2 new beds at the same time. The beds came 2 weeks apart. When I installed the 1st Bunkie board, everything was great, so I gave 5 stars. The 2nd Bunkie board is terrible. The frame is not straight, and the 2 rubber feet that keep the cross bars in place are missing (see photo). What kind of quality control is this? This is a great replacement for crappy, wooden slats. It has been very sturdy, no more collapsing through the frame when more than one person lays on my son's bed which happened ALL THE TIME! It was so easy to put together that my 8 year old helped me do it. The slats aren't super close together, but they aren't too far apart either. It's all steel, but lightweight. This is definitely what I will purchase for any bed frame that comes with wooden slats in the future! ... show more

First off, this is just a bunkie board. It does not ship with any platform or legs as seen in the picture. It works great with my "Zinus Upholstered Button Tufted Platform Bed w/Wooden slats" and fits precisely inside the frame. I also have a Leesa mattress which is a hybrid memory foam mattress with no boxspring. I purchased this product because I was not satisfied with how the wooden slats held up over time. So far this provides much better, and more even, support without any sagging. It was super easy to assemble (20 minutes) and was packed very well. Negatives: 1. It is pretty slick and slides around on my platform bed. I plan on attaching velcro to the bottom of the bunkie board to attach to the velcro currently on my platform bed. If you are screwing it directly to your platform, you will not have this issue. 2. Again, it is slick and my mattress slides around on top on the bunkie board. I think if the product came with a cover it would mitigate the issue. I don't have a workaround for this yet. ... show more

Glad I got this instead of something Swedish. Very sturdy, super easy instructions and easy assembly. Make sure you get some 1-2 inch foam tape if you are using this with a metal bed frame, the two frames make some noise if you move around or have recreational activities. One I applied some foam tape, it's super quiet. I also used some zip ties to hold the 2 frames together. Very good product, highly recommended, you can tell there was thought put in and they cared about making something that wasn't junk. ... show more

I don't write positive product reviews as often as I should, but had to write one for this bunkie board. The packaging, instructions and labeling of parts was excellent. Someone clearly thought things through. What floored me was the precision of the engineering and how well everything fit together. The fit and finish is excellent as well. I put it together quickly and it's on my vintage Heywood Wakefield bed. I highly recommend this if you need a bunkie board. ... show more
